At this time, the NHS does not make use of therapists they have trained in PICT, NHS policies generally lean towards using CBT or CAT for abused patients/clients, however some PICT therapists in private practice, offer a sliding scale payment, some reduced fees as well as senior PICT students offer free therapy to individuals willing to be used as a case study for their diploma. Contact the therapist of your choice to enquire about negotiation of fees or contact any of the trainers to discover if there are students needing a case study client. Some NHS Trusts fund all or part of therapy outside their practice, there are various charities that offer contributions towards therapy (check on the website for trusts and charitable agencies listed, or check out your local library for a book on the above).
